Daniel

Foo

Born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. Currently a 5th year point guard with the Sea-Hawks studying physical education with a Geography minor. Played at Corner Brook high and 4 years NL provincial basketball earning a second team all canadian. Have always been a student of the game and love to share my knowledge with others to help the game grow in Newfoundland. 

Samaila

Ibrahim

Samaila ibrahim was born and raised in Nigeria.   The Niger potters basketball team gave him the opportunity to play and love the game beyond any thoughts he would have had, then unto the next came the Immigration basketball team in 2004, Got invited to the national junior national team camp in 2003 and to the senior national team camp in 2005.

At this stage the dream has been realized that he could actually made something worth living for through sports (basketball), 2005 the best team in the country on the savannah conference came calling ( Kano pillars) where I stayed till in 2006 when the opportunity came for me to travel abroad ( Doha Qatar ) to ply my skills for a qatari basketball team ( Qatar sports club) then unto another team Al-Gharaffa basketball team where I had a brief stint between 2008-2010 when I finally decided to hang it up professionally.

Moved to Newfoundland in 2014 where I have been living and residing since, also a member of the SJABO ( St. John's association of basketball officials ) and a full member of the referee association since 2018.



Cole

Long

Born in St. John’s, Newfoundland, and is believed to be the first Titan ever from that province. A Bio-Chemistry major. Ranked the No. 17 recruit in Canada by Hoops Hype Canada as well as No. 22 by North Pole Hoops (NPH). 2x Detroit Mercy Athletic Director's Honor Roll (2017, 2018). Attended Booth Memorial High School in the Orangeville District (Orangeville, Ontario) before finishing his prep career at the prestigious Athlete Institute Preparatory School of Basketball (Mono, Ontario), now going into 3rd at University of Detroit Mercy.

Will 

Bradbury

Born in Kitchener Ontario Will is a graduate of Forest Heights Collegiate Institute. He played AAU basketball for the Wildhawks Basketball program based in Waterloo, Ontario. After high school he attended Fanshawe College in London, Ontario. As a rookie he led the Falcons to a 4th place finish at the 2010 CCAA Nationals. After 2 years at Fanshawe Will transferred to Memorial University to finish his education and play for the Seahawks.


Erica

Norman

At the early age of 4, Erica developed a love for dance and later studied Cecchetti ballet for 10 years. She became a dance teacher with The Dance Centre by the age of 18. Growing up she always enjoyed being involved in sports, particularly basketball and fast-pitch softball. She attended Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) where she studied theories of movement and graduated in 2015 with a Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering degree. After working as an engineer for 3 years in Houston, Texas, Erica returned to university in 2019 and completed a Masters degree in Physiotherapy in Scotland. During her time in Scotland, she volunteered for the Jordanhill Rugby club in the physio clinic and was a first responder for game days. She is now working with Physio & Co in St. John’s and Bay Bulls with particular interest in treating musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Erica also has her own business creating personal training programs and is currently working toward a certification in strength and conditioning with the National Certified Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Erica is eager to help our athletes build strength & speed, improve upon their movement mechanics, and reduce the risk of sport specific injury.


Geana

George

23 years old from St. John’s, NL. Played for King’s College this past season in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Currently finishing bachelors of nursing degree at MUN. Has played and coached for team NL for multiple years and looks forward to continue coaching with CE23 academy and working with new players

Matthew

Cleary

Born and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Matt has been playing basketball since a young age. Playing provincial basketball for three years and selected for Center of Performance

Training for two years, Matt went on to play for Memorial University from 2008-2011 where he was the recipient for the Nita Chambers Sutton Scholarship in his first two years. Matt completed his Bachelor of Kinesiology at Memorial in 2013 and then went on to complete his

Masters of Physiotherapy in Dublin, Ireland. While attending University College of Dublin, Matt was selected as 1 of 3 international students to play for the Varsity basketball team. Matt enjoys

working with young athletes to help develop their skills, build strength and enable them to go beyond their potential. Matt is currently a Registered Physiotherapist with Nova Physio in St. John’s.


Kyle

Careen

Kyle Careen is 24 years old, from the small town of Point Lance on the Cape Shore. He attended Fatima Academy, where he played basketball from grade 2 to 12, and played on two Provincial NL teams. He then moved on to pursue a Physical Education/Education degree from Memorial University. He is currently teaching in the St. John’s area. Kyle is the leader of the Select Academy for the Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association, and is also the Head Coach of the u15 men’s Provincial NL Team. He is very excited to work with all athletes that are passionate about the sport he loves. 


Jenine

Browne

Jenine (Browne) MacFadden from St. Bride’s, NL played with the Memorial Univeristity Sea-Hawks from 2000 to 2005. She was the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) leading scorer in the last four of her five seasons, finishing with a total of 2,028 points, a Memorial record and third-highest all-time in the AUS. 


The AUS rookie of the year in 2001, Jenine was named the conference defensive player of the year in 2003, and earned an unmatched four consecutive AUS MVP awards from 2002 to 2005. She was also named first-team all-Canadian those same four years. She also represented Canada during this time.

Jenine was recently named to U Sports’ list of the top 100 Canadian players in the first 100 years of Canadian university women’s basketball this past year.

During her collegiate career, the Sea-Hawks captured three AUS conference titles (in 2002, 2003 and 2005).


Following her 5 years at MUN , Jenine went on to play in South Australia for 3 years. She is very excited to be a part of the CE23 Basketball Academy helping young athletes grow and develop skills and a love for the game of basketball.


Peter Rose





Born and raised in Newfoundland where he has completed his Bachelor of Recreation Degree at Memorial. During this time Peter spent 2 years as the Lead Assistant Head Coach with the MUN Men’s Seahawks. After MUN he spent time as an assistant manager at swimming pools as well as coaching at Grenfell Campus in Corner Brook. With 10+ years in both lifeguarding and coaching, Peter has plenty of experience in sports management and coaching, and has most recently completed his Masters of Sport Management Degree at Wichita State University in Kansas. He is excited to bring his passion and professionalism to our team and to help everyone grow in our basketball community.
